Who we are
This website is run by THREEISQUARED LTD (company number 08640292), trading as 3iS Transport. Our registered office and trading address is Unit 30, Weston Industrial Estate, Honeybourne, Evesham, Worcestershire WR11 7QB. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
Questions about this policy or your data: email info@3istransport.co.uk or write to us at the address above.
What we collect
When you send an enquiry
The enquiry form asks for your name, organisation, email address, telephone number and a message. We also record the date and time, the IP address the enquiry came from, the country Cloudflare reports for that address, and your browser type. We keep these technical details to stop spam and abuse of the form.
When you email us
We keep the details you give us, such as your name, contact details and the content of your message, so that we can reply and keep a record of the conversation.
When you browse the site
Our hosting provider and Cloudflare, which protects and speeds up the site, process your IP address and standard request information to deliver pages and protect the site from attack. If we use website analytics, we use a cookieless service that does not identify you.
How we use it, and our lawful basis
- To reply to enquiries and prepare quotations. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in responding to people who contact us, and taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
- To deliver and manage contracts with our customers, including site contacts. Lawful basis: performance of a contract, and our legitimate interests in managing our business relationships.
- To protect the website and the enquiry form from spam, fraud and attack. Lawful basis: our legitimate interests in keeping our systems secure.
- To meet legal obligations, such as keeping financial records. Lawful basis: legal obligation.
- To understand how the website is used, through analytics cookies, only if you switch them on. Lawful basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
You do not have to give us your details, but we need your name, email address and message to reply to an enquiry.
We do not sell your data, use it for automated decision-making, or send marketing emails to individuals without consent. Where we contact people at public bodies or businesses about relevant services, we do so under our legitimate interests and you can ask us to stop at any time.
Who we share it with
- Our website hosting provider, which stores enquiries on a server in Germany.
- Cloudflare, Inc., which provides security and content delivery for the site, including the Turnstile check on the enquiry form.
- Our email providers, which carry enquiry notifications and our replies.
- Google, whose Google Maps service draws the map on our live bus tracker page. When you open that page, your browser connects to Google, which receives your IP address and the map area you view. If you use a “Near me” button, your browser asks for your permission first. The live bus tracker rounds your location to about 2 km, and the bus stop display to about 100 metres to find the stops nearest you; neither is stored.
- Members of our specialist supply chain, where this is needed to prepare a quotation or deliver a project you have asked us about.
- Professional advisers, and authorities where the law requires it.
International transfers
Cloudflare and Google may process data outside the UK. Where it does, the transfer is covered by the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or another safeguard recognised under UK data protection law.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not lead to work: up to 2 years from our last contact.
- Customer and contract records: 6 years after the end of the contract, in line with limitation periods and tax rules.
- Technical records used to protect the form, such as rate-limit counters: no longer than 2 hours. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and then deleted.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small files a website stores on your device. We also use your browser’s local storage, which works in a similar way. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) we only use storage that is not strictly necessary if you agree to it.
When you first visit, a banner asks for your choice. Accept all allows every category below. Manage lets you switch analytics and marketing on or off individually, or reject everything that is not essential. You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings at the foot of every page.
| Name | Category | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3is-consent (local storage) | Essential | Remembers your cookie choices so we do not ask on every page. | Until you clear it or change your choice |
| 3is-enquiry (session storage) | Essential | Keeps what you typed in the enquiry form if it needs correcting. | Until you close the tab |
| __cf_bm, cf_clearance | Essential | Set by Cloudflare to protect the site from bots and attacks. | Short-lived, set by Cloudflare |
| Cloudflare Turnstile | Essential | Checks that enquiry form submissions come from a person. | Session |
| _ga, _ga_* | Analytics (only with consent) | Google Analytics: counts visits and shows which pages are used. IP addresses are anonymised. | Up to 2 years |
Analytics cookies are only set if analytics is switched on in the site and you have agreed to them. We do not currently use marketing cookies; the marketing option is there so that you can control them if we introduce them. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of the site, such as the enquiry form, from working.
Your rights
Where we rely on your consent, such as for analytics cookies, you can withdraw it at any time using Cookie settings at the foot of every page. This does not affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it to be transferred. To make a request, contact us using the details above. We will reply within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to put things right first.
Automated access
Automated access to this site, including scraping and use of its content for artificial intelligence, is not allowed except as set out in our website terms of use. We may block automated traffic. To detect it, we use the request information described above, such as IP address and browser type, which is handled and kept in the same way.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
