3iS Transport projectSolar shelter lighting

Transforming Luton’s bus shelters

Partnering with contractor Volker Highways, we provided over 160 customised solar-powered 3iS-M50 to fit the mechanical construction of Luton’s two-bay bus shelters. The solution provided reliable illumination without the need for grid connections, reducing installation and maintenance costs while ensuring long-term durability.

“The solar lighting system is virtually maintenance-free, with no energy costs and minimal upkeep required. This fit-and-forget solution will last many years, with battery maintenance unlikely for at least a decade.”
